People should also have confidence that the professional presenting themselves on WellPro has provided the credentials and professional documentation required for their listing.
That is why professional verification is part of WellPro's foundation.
Specialists are required to maintain the applicable professional licenses or certifications for the services they represent, as well as active professional liability insurance. WellPro reviews required documentation before a specialist receives verified status and may require updated documentation as credentials or policies expire.

What WellPro verification is designed to establish
Professional credentials
Specialists must hold the licenses, certifications, registrations, or other credentials required for the services they represent and the jurisdictions in which they practice. Where a modality is not legally licensed, specialists must possess the professional credential they represent on their profile and remain responsible for practicing within applicable rules and standards.
Current documentation
Verification is based on documentation, not simply a self-selected profile badge. WellPro may request supporting information and can delay, hide, suspend, or remove a listing when required documentation is missing, expired, inaccurate, or cannot be verified.
Professional liability insurance
WellPro requires active professional liability insurance as part of specialist verification. This helps establish an additional professional baseline for specialists participating on the platform.
Ongoing responsibility
Verification is not a one-time permission to stop maintaining professional standards. Specialists are responsible for keeping their credentials, insurance, and relevant professional information current and for reporting changes that may affect their eligibility. WellPro also tracks uploaded professional documents and provides expiration-related account controls and alerts.
What the Verified badge means
A Verified badge means that WellPro completed its required platform verification process for that specialist based on the information and documentation available at that time.
It means the specialist satisfied the applicable WellPro listing requirements reviewed during that process.
It is intended to give people a clearer starting point for evaluating professional credibility.
What verification does not mean
Verification is not:
- an endorsement of a specialist by WellPro
- a guarantee of professional skill or quality
- a guarantee that a service is appropriate for a particular person
- a guarantee of safety, satisfaction, or wellness outcomes
- a substitute for asking questions or using your own judgment
- a promise that no professional circumstance has changed since the most recent verification

Wellness professionals listed on WellPro remain independent practitioners.
They are responsible for practicing within their professional scope, maintaining required credentials and insurance, accurately representing their services, following applicable professional rules, and determining whether the services they provide are appropriate for a client.
WellPro provides the platform, verification process, discovery tools, and trust infrastructure. It does not supervise the professional services themselves.
